OVERVIEW
Stony Brook Scientific Ltd. offers a wide
range of accurate, reliable and low-cost viscometer products to
suit the custom needs of any fluid viscosity measurements.
Disposable Viscometer (DV-100) which includes disposable
sample tubes and a microprocessor-based measurement console for
automatic needle falling time measurements, and viscosity and
temperature displays is also available. This viscometer greatly
reduces testing time because sample tube cleaning is not required.
Portable/ Disposable Viscometer (PDVa/PDV-100) which features
disposable sample tubes is now available! This inexpensive
automatic(PDVa-100) and manual(PDV-100)
viscometers can measure Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid viscosities
under field conditions!
High Pressure High Temperature Viscometer (HPHTV-100) can
measure liquid viscosities up to 2000 psi and 150°C, over a range
of 1 to 106 cP for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian
fluids.
Falling /Controlled Needle Viscometer (FNV-200) and Controlled Needle
Viscometer (CNV-100) can easily measure liquid viscosities up to
106 cP.
Caulking Viscometer (CV-100) features a disposable
caulking sample tube and requires no sample tube cleaning, and can easily measure
viscosities up to
109 cP.
Ultra High Pressure Viscometer (UHPV-100) can
measure liquid viscosities up to 60,000 psi and 150°C, over a range
of 0.7 to 20,000 cP for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian
fluids.
High Temperature Viscometer (HTV-100) can measure liquid
viscosities up to 350°C. Viscosities measured using this
instrument can range from 1 to 108 cP for both
Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids.
Portable Field Viscometer (PDVdi-120) This inexpensive
manual viscometer can measure Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid viscosities
such as De-/Anti-icing Fluids
under field conditions.
Sealed
Viscometer (SV-100) can measure Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid viscosities
of volatile samples under sealed and pressurized conditions.
In addition to the liquid viscous properties, Stony Brook
Scientific Ltd.'s viscometers can measure liquid densities, zero
shear rate viscosities and yield stresses, mixture concentrations,
relative particle settling rates, intrinsic viscosities and
molecular weights, high pressure and high temperature viscosities,
and time constant measurements of viscoelastic fluids. The
absolute accuracy of these viscometers is better than 1%* without
any instrument calibration. The above viscometers which use the
falling needle principle have been adopted as standard by ASTM
5478-98 and AIR 5704.
[* The portable/disposable viscometer (PDV-100), which is suitable
for field measurements, has an absolute accuracy of better than
3%.]
